If you want to look your best anytime, anywhere, it’s for you. If you want to shed off some years and look healthier, younger and fresher, permanent makeup does wonders! If you’re a busy mom, business woman or have an active lifestyle, you’ll save hours every week not having to stand in front of the mirror slaving over applying makeup. Not to mention, you won’t have to worry about sweating it off during a workout or melting by the end of an evening out.

The fading process varies from individual to individual because of body chemistry and lifestyle. For some people, permanent makeup fades after a year, while for others, there is no change after three years. As a rule of thumb, a light colour fades faster than a dark colour. A post-procedure touch-up is highly recommended because it helps to retain the colour and appearance of the application.

We believe in giving people the highest possible quality of work. Remember that this is your face and there is no room for a "budget" semi-permanent tattoo. When it comes to your face, accept nothing less than a perfect job from no one else but a trained and certified practitioner.

Micropigmentation is also known as tattooing, permanent makeup and permanent cosmetics. It is a non-surgical procedure that implants coloured pigments into the dermis (the middle layer of the skin) through microscopic injections with an extremely fine needle or micro-blades.

Powder-fill gives a more defined, solid appearance, and is usually a longer-lasting option. Feathering or feather stroke, on the other hand, involves cosmetic tattooing on tiny lines/strokes in a design that gives the appearance of hair. Hair strokes alone, with no background, do require more re-touching than other methods. A good, longer-lasting option can be a combination of these, where a lighter powder-fill will be done at the first appointment, then hair strokes over the top to give texture and a realistic, hair-like appearance. During your consultation, we discuss these options and what would give you the best result possible.

It varies from person to person. Most people experience a little discomfort during the first 5-10 minutes of the treatment, but once the area has been numbed effectively, the client will feel very little. I have had my eyebrows cosmetically tattooed and found it was like a light, annoying scratch for the first few minutes, after which I couldn’t feel much – it was a lot more bearable than I had thought!

Yes, very. We use new micro-blades or needles for every client. All equipment is sterilized daily using both a sterilizing machine and a sterilization bath. Anything that comes into contact with clients is brand new and sealed prior to your treatment. Our salon is always kept clean and hygienic. Allergic reactions to the pigments are incredibly rare. The pigment brands used are trusted, long-established USA-made brands that have been on the market for decades.

There are certain things that go into creating the perfect eyebrow:
measurements of the face involving the spacing and the relationship between space
angles of the face, the nose and eyes showing where the brow should begin, end, and where it should arch.
There is no one perfect brow, and not one brow suits all. Every face is different and some brows look better than others on certain people. What we do is measure your face, look at symmetry (no one is perfectly symmetrical, not even supermodels!) and work out the best way to balance your face.
We usually ask you to come to the appointment with your brows drawn on exactly as you like them. We find this is a good place to start since it shows us what you are used to, what your personal makeup style is, and your colour preferences. Sometimes some subtle changes are made to the shape and colour if we think this could achieve a better result. We will always show you the drawn shape for your approval before we begin tattooing. The technique we use is unique and gives the most natural-looking appearance of real hair that can be achieved.

Unfortunately, eyelash extensions MUST be removed at least 3 days prior to any eyeliner treatment. Complete healing (2-3 weeks) must occur before they should be re-applied. For any extensions applied by us, removal is free – please be sure to book it a few days prior to your treatment though! As soon as healing has taken place, you can have your extensions reapplied. Imagine how fantastic that will be – never having to worry about mascara or eyeliner again!

We feel that two appointments are necessary to create fantastic, long-lasting brows, particularly for the hair-stroke method that is the most popular at the moment. In the first appointment, a shape is established, colour saturation occurs, or the first set of hair strokes are applied.
The second appointment is to reinforce the pigment (fill any spots where colour did not take as well or where hair strokes faded, as they can do). Often, a slightly darker colour is used to give a more realistic, 3D appearance. Sometimes for eyeliner, minor swelling can occur and a second appointment is needed to make minor shape adjustments to complete the final look. You don’t have to book a second appointment if don't feel it’s necessary. However, we highly recommend it, particularly in the case of hair-stroke brows since they will last longer if you come in a second time.

We have a large range of pigments, and normally we will blend 2, or sometimes even 3, pigments to create a customized colour for you. For eyeliner, usually true black is used, but there are other options, such as a very dark brown, dark blue, violet and green, and charcoal grey.

If you are undergoing permanent makeup application, we will draw the shape of the eyebrow, eyeliner, or lip liner with a makeup pencil for your approval. The ink colour will be customized to suit your skin tone. Then a topical anesthetic cream will be applied to prevent discomfort before and throughout the procedure. For the majority of the treatment, you will be relaxed, laying down or semi-reclined.

You may experience some tenderness around the eyebrows for an hour after the procedure. A cold compress will help relieve any discomfort. DO NOT WASH THE AREA FOR 24 HOURS. Moisturize with post-care-balm or a light moisturizer to relieve discomfort. Eyebrows will look slightly darker than expected for one week (this can easily be covered with makeup powder/foundation). The dark colour will slowly "flake" or "peel" off after one week -- DO NOT PICK OR PEEL it off yourself! Keep moisturizing the area to prevent itching and scratching. After the brows are fully peeled, they may appear lighter before the true colour comes out from under the healed skin.

It is normal to experience some swelling and tenderness following your procedure. It doesn’t take very long for the swelling to disappear. Immediately following your treatment the pigment will appear darker and brighter than how it will actually heal. Don’t worry, though. After a few days, the surface colour naturally exfoliates to leave a softer colour. As you exfoliate, you might experience a little swelling or redness straight after the treatment. It will soon disappear. After five days, the colour will actually be lighter than you want it to be. This is why a perfecting visit is necessary in order to achieve the right richness of colour.

Eyeliner treatments may cause minor swelling to the upper eyelid. Swelling can be reduced by placing a cold compress on the eyes every few hours. Do not wash the area for 24 hours after your permanent eyeliner treatment. Moisturize with a light oil, eye cream or post-care balm. For the first five days, expect your eyeliner to look like dark liquid eyeliner makeup - it will slowly flake off and peel. After two weeks, it may appear lighter before the true colour comes out from under the healed skin.
